Postgraduate course in Biochemistry, a fully self-financed program was introduced in the college from the academic year 2007-08 with an intake of 25 students. At present, the department is utilizing the existing facilities in the postgraduate department of Bio-technology and undergraduate department of Biochemistry. A good number of books are added to the existing reference books to the library in the first year. The curriculum adopted is same as that is programmed at DOS Biochemistry, Manasagangotri, Mysore, a PG department of the University of Mysore. The college is actively working to acquire equipment and other infrastructure to make it fully self-sufficient. The JSS Mahavidyapeetha has initiated a process to provide building space and other facilities. |
