The Department of Commerce started functioning in the year 1967 with the introduction B.Com. course. In 1979 BBM course was added in 1970. UGC recognized the strength of the department and gave grants for JOC in TPP.
Many students have brought laurels to the department by securing ranks in the University Examinations. A large number of students have been employed as executives in industries and Government Administration. Many students have become professionals and many are successfully self-employed.
For the benefit of students and teachers the department organizes special lecture programmes, seminars, workshop on the current topics. The department intends to introduce revised syllabi from the next academic year and also to introduce MBA programme |
