The department of Microbiology was started in the year 1993. In the beginning days, it was tagged to the department of Botany. Later it was separated and elevated as an independent department. The department has produced a large number of meritorious graduates in an healthy competitive academic environment, together with creating all possible avenues for a vibrant curriculum.
The department also offers a UGC sponsored career oriented course in “Industrial Microbiology” since 2004. It offers Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma course parallel to the degree education |
