The Postgraduate Department of Social Work was started in the year 2001. It imparts Professional Education and Training in Social Work to meet the emerging need of the society for professionally trained human power.
Objectives:
1. To maintain and develop the Department as a centre of academic excellence in the field of Social Work education.
2. To produce and present to society, meritorious and committed professional social workers.
3. To undertake various research and capacity building projects both independently and in co-ordination with Governmental and Non-Governmental organizations.
Eligibility for Admission: Candidates who have passed BSW/BA with social work as optional or B.A./B.S.C./B.Com /B.B.M/L.L.B of this University or any other University recognized as equivalent with not less than a three year aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) are eligible to apply.
The criterion for admission is based on the performance of students in qualifying examination and entrance examination. |
