Applications are invited for the post of Professor (for a maximum period of 5 years) under the UGC sponsored programme ‘PG Diploma in Information Communication Technology for Development’ in JSS College of of Arts, Commerce & Science, Ooty Road, Mysore. Application along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- in favour of The Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore should reach the Principal, JSS College of Arts, Commerce & Science, Ooty Road, Mysore-570 025 on or before 20th May 2007.
Scale of Pay: As per UGC norms (subject to approval by UGC)
Essential Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in any branch of Electrical and Information Sciences (Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science or Information Technology)
- Teaching and Research experience of 15 years in related field.
- Should have successfully guided at least one student for Ph.D. in the area of ICT for social causes.
- Experience of field work using ICT and demonstrated ability of having handled new and novel educational initiatives and programmes involving Govt. and multilateral agencies
Desirable:
- Consultancy / design / training in ICT with industries
- Experience in curriculum development and management of educational projects
